I have Standard email as part of my overall BT package. Unable to load account in Office Outlook on Macbook - can I assume this is a known issue?

Have you been able to access your account in Outlook previously or is this your first time trying to set it up? Is it all setup with the correct settings BT Email server settings | BT Help ?
Are you still access the e-mail account via webmail or the BT Mail app currently?

Yes, used Outlook before on other devices. It just won't add to a Macbook - and as far as I know, no BT mail app is available for Mac.
My BT internet mail is otherwise running as it should in other email clients.
Just use the native Mac mail app.

I'm sure you can. The BT mail server has absolutely no knowledge of which client you are using. The problem lies with either Outlook or Apple.
