BT's new email system...

Go to solution

I am struggling with the new system that uses a strange font and if you try to change it the recipient gets loads of =20 at the end and sometimes in the middle of lines.

HELP

ps, I have read all the other complaints but surely there is some way of sorting this out or do I just go to Outlook and get a new email address?

Sigh, you don't need a new email address, just stop using webmail and use either Outlook (the client that comes with W11 rather than the mail service), Thunderbird, EmClient or one of the other free mail clients available to access your btinternet email.

Hi, I am usually quite savvy with technology but what are these free mail clients? is it like Firefox or Google Chrome?

No, they are web browsers. Email clients are dedicated programs (apps) for email.

https://www.emclient.com/

W11 also comes with Outlook which doesn't need an Outlook account (the service previously known as Hotmail)

Only Microsoft could call 2 entirely different things by the same name.

I've been using emclient for six years  and it is a great email utility. Only rarely do I access  BT Web email. I seem to recollect it was one or two of the regular contributers to this forum who kept on about using an Email client rather the browser BT Web email, took me a while to take the advice but when I did it was a good move and found emclient suited my needs.
