DNS not recognised

Go to solution

Hi I cannot open my emails as I get a message saying DNS not working.  I did get an email from what was called "administrator" saying I was using and old domain but as it was not sent to me personally I thought it was a scam so didn't open it.  How can I fix this in retrospect.  Big thanks

Try restarting your BT Hub. If that does not work try a factory reset of the BT hub by pressing a pin into the recess button on the rear for about 20 seconds.

if using TT router are you a TT customer not BT Retail?  If TT then you need to post on TT forum

Re: DNS not recognised

TalkTalk DNS for bt.com has been down for 3 days now. TalkTalk users can't access any BT services, causing so many calls and complaints being raised with BT.
There's a 3 day old thread on the TalkTalk forums with no reply from them so far.

Thank you that is a real help to know.  I seem to be able to access my email on my phone now but not on my lap top - crazy!
