Deleting messages from 2020.?

How can this retired IT support engineer, delete , multiple email messages. ?

If you want to delete multiple emails try the following.

If you hold down the shift key then tick the box to the left of the first email you want to delete in the list of emails then scroll down using the scroll bar on the right hand side and tick the last email you want to delete then release the shift key. It will select all the emails in between. You can then click delete or drag and drop them into the Trash folder.

Yes well one would have thought that it works with newer messages above year 2023 , but shift scroll shift in any combination, number of emails or sequence,  = fail with year 2020 to 2023 messages . I was just trying to tidy my inbox. Still trying to it work out .

AH...... you cannot use the scroll bar !!!!!!!!  just the mouse wheel . then it works, Managed to delete all of 2022 messages, but now refuses to select 2021 stuff.. Maybe i will leave  alone life is too short..

This is with  the new improved 3 8 0  version . ( how long has it been coming )
