Are you a BT Broadband customer or paying for your email through a BT Premium email account.
If neither of the above you will be using the BTMail Basic email and this contains adverts and they can not be removed.
If you are a BT customer, the adverts have now been removed from the "new" BTMail interface. You should try clearing your browser's history and cookies to see if that removes them.
