I had been having an conversation with one person via email. A few emails in they asked for someone else's email address which I provided.
Next thing I know that person is cc'd in.
I deliberatly did not cc them in as previous emails were confidential.
I raised concern with person I was emailing, they said I had added the email address to the conversation which automatically cc's them in.
I have never heard of this or considered it possible.
How did this happen?

I have tried this sending to various email addresses some BT and some non BT and I was unable to replicate your problem.
Were you using "conversation" view or were you using the "reply to" function with all the emails that you were conversing about?
Can you try sending an email again with an email address in the text of the email again to see if it is still happening.

It was conversation view I think...
I've tried again and can't do it.
The other party was using Intercom, so not sure if that is why it happened?
