It will work until you send or forward an email, then it will stop again. Uninstall Gmail updates and revert to 'stock' version
Uninstall Gmail updates and revert to version that came with Android
Like many I'm unable to send or receive emails on my android phone since the 4th August. I can get them on my computer.
Found this in the comments on the Gmail app
There is a new version of Gmail been released.
This doesn't seem to fix the issue.
Not sure if deleting sent or forwarded emails still works as some of the ones I get sent I need to keep and can't delete. I guess I could send them to myself...
Rubbish experience - I wonder if any of the other big USPS such as Sky are having similar issues?
I have followed the advice of deleting my BT account and then adding it again and it worked.
I've just deleted my BT account from Gmail after I've updated the Gmail app. Then added it back in. Seems to have pulled some additional emails in that weren't delivered before.
I'll monitor to see if this continues.
This is not isolated to Gmail. iPhones/iPads/PCs still work. This is how BT currently works (or doesn't) with Android.
I have tested this with various email clients and the only thing that works is outlook on a PC or webmail. My Android phone is now useless for emails.
It not the cache, not the application (tried numerous, all the same - headers and notifications but no content)
Something changed last week, so it should not be beyond whit of man/woman to identify the change and fix it - and I say this as a programmer....

Strange that my Android phone works perfectly well with Bluemail then!
