do you think that my Sky router is censoring me then
So you are a Sky customer, not a BT Retail one?

I pay BT £90/year for the privilege of their WebMail - I am a BT customer!
If you are using Sky for your broadband connection, then its quite possible that Sky`s parental controls are filtering your outgoing content.

Parental controls are all off - I'm a grown up LOL

No I haven't, do you think that my Sky router is censoring me then? I do, when called upon, have a shocking vocabulary LOL 😂
No, because I never knew you used a Sky router until this post!
I am trying to establish if it is your connection or your device that is causing the problem. It may be that you have some thing on your device such as antivirus that is checking the email before it is sent.

Simple 10 year old laptop running basic AVG anti virus. Oh, and it also does the same on my desktop, again, running AVG basic. I appreciate your time pondering the issue, but to be honest now, I'm quite happy just using my recently discovered workaround, the * to fool any IT interference...
Check to see if AVG has a web protect or scanner on outgoing emails. If it has, disable it to see if that helps.

It does have 'EmailSheild' but on examination, that only scans attachments on outgoing/incoming email, but still, I'll keep an eye on it - thanks...
This error message still persists...
The exact same email can be set via GMail with no issue, so it's nothing to do with a router filter. Yes, the email is a bit 'fruity', but to be fair, it's none of BTs business what I send to another consenting adult. Does anyone know how to stop BT treating me like a child, and allow me to just send a single email like GMail does, which I pay them £90/year for the privilege??
