In case you do not know this , support from Microsoft  for Windows Live Mail stopped in 2014 and as such there have been no security updates for it since then. This leaves your email system vulnerable to attack.

In my opinion you should up date your email program to an up to date email client such as Thunderbird. This is a free email client and is updated on a regular basis. It is not dissimilar to Windows Live mail and should be an easy transition for you.

Yes I knew the support had stopped but i wasn't aware of the vulnerability aspect.

I use it mainly for storage/back-up purposes but I still have it linked to my BT account.

I have now switched over to storing and filing emails on webmail, hence my worry about emails disappearing (an issue which you have solved).

Thank you for the warning and the advice

Much appreciated 🙏🙏🙏

Will take heed and act accordingly.
