I had an email this morning asking me to confirm my email login details. It looked very genuine and was supposedly sent from EE, as they were allegedly re-configuring email inboxes. It was sent from a personal btinternet account though and I was suspicious. Erase it immediately and don't click the link that is provided.

Re: Phishing attempt
It might be wise to contact BT customer services with the address that was used to send the email, as that account may already have been compromised.
I only learn by making mistakes and owning up to them - boy do I learn a lot!

Hi @Frogmodem It does sound like a very suspicious email that you've received.
I'd recommend visiting our BT scam site for further information on how to report the email.

It's very unlikely that the email has come from that particular account, but a spoofed email address used by a spammer/phisher
