Can anyone please help me. I’m getting quite literally hundreds of porn emails a day and I don’t know how to stop it. At the moment I’m not opening them but am marking them then sending to junk. I’ve tried blocking but doesn’t stop them. I dont want to change my email because I’ve had the same one forever and it would be a nightmare trying to change it.
Thanks.

It is difficult to stop spam emails because the senders change their email address frequently in order to avoid being blocked or traced.
What you can do is set up a rule in your email settings. As part of the trigger for the rule you could use a word or phrase that is common to all the spam emails and is not used in "normal" emails.
As part of the rule you would have the email directed to the spam folder rather than your inbox.
The important thing is that you do not respond to them by clicking any unsubscribe button or open the email if you can obviously see it is spam. By doing that you are telling the spammer they have an active email address.
Thanks
Hi
i keep getting many many porn bt emails and don’t know how to STOP THEM
Same reply as message 2.
I have the same problem and they do go into spam, also fake casino invites. I block senders and domain names, then delete. problem is there are so many of them,a fresh lot every day - such a waste of time. I have two other email addresses, with google and apple but its only the BT one that gets them. To add insult to injury, today I got one which linked my name to that of my sister. My sister died two years ago. That bloody hurt!
Hi
why should we put up with this
we pay our monthly fee so it is BT who should sort it
I totally agree! I will be 77 this year and a widow with grandchildren and great grandchildren - these offensive pictures of scantily clad young women have no relationship whatsoever to my life; if by any chance there are people who find they want to respond to this horrible stuff, and do so, they can only blame themselves for the consequences. I watch programmes like For Love or Money and Scam Interceptors on TV and - having grown up and functioned without the Internet - the consequences of it having such a huge negative impact on our lives both angers me and saddens me. I share this attitude with many of my generation. We are pushed into using it by large institutions (e.g. NHS for example) when it should be a matter of choice.
