REPEATED ERROR MESSAGES saying BT SMTP DETAILS WRONG
I have been receiving repeated error messages continuously because of trying setting up to send emails from my gmail.com account through my outlook account. The message says BT SMPT server details error.
I have used the following details provided on the BT site as the BT- IMAP AND SMTP details web address link - https://www.bt.com/help/email/manage-email-account/manual-settings/what-are-the-settings-for-outgoin... - under the title:-
Setting up email on an email client
SMTP settings
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.btinternet.com
Port: 465 (this may not be automatically populated on selecting SSL, so you will need to check)
SSL Encryption: Enabled (but not STARTTLS)
Authentication: PLAIN
Username: your email address including the @btinternet or @btopenworld.com part
Password: your btinternet or btopenworld password
I would be most grateful if you would be able to provide me with any advice how I might be able to rectify this problem as the error message keeps popping continuously which affects receiving and sending messages.
King Regards,

First of all, when posting please don't post your email address, this is a public forum viewable worldwide and you will attract more spam than you can deal with. I have asked the mods to edit your post as it is too late for you to do so.
Secondly, what is it you are actually trying to do? Why do you wish to use BT's SMTP servers to send Gmail, just use Gmail servers.
