i ve had the same problem,been locked out for 2 weeks,been passed around like a rag doll,been on hold for over an hour in one instance,people on phone super friendly,but cant find no solution,eventually got connected to indian call centre,she said,my details are masked on her end,cos BT dont own the talk 21 domain!! What the hell has that got to do with this problem,,ive had this email for  over 20 yrs,,was taken over by yahoo decade ago,then  BT 4 yrs ago i think,,now im blocked out!! I know my security questions,but still no luck,i tried logging in via t21.com route,but it dont recognise that either!!

 

WHERE DO I GO! PLEASE HELP ANYBODY.

What device are you using to access your email account?

Do you access your email account on more than one device and if you do does this happen on every device that you use?

How are you trying to access your email account. Is it with and email client/app or with a web browser?

What is the exact message that you are getting when you try to log on?

What have you tried to fix this since you became locked out?

Have you tried using the email address format joe.bloggs.t21@btinternet.com?

I access on both devices, it happens on every device.
I access well TRY to access via web browser.(my bt.com,the email tab,next to My BT, and help tabs on that site) On my phone it has the BT MAIL APP,which used to work,till it locked me out.
when trying to log on it tells me your login is no longer secure. we have protected your account for security. Asks me to confirm security details,that doesnt work,so it takes me to next page where it says I DONT KNOW SECURITY THE SECURITY DETAILS. I click on that, the it takes me to 2 options a) I CANT REMEMBER MY BT ACCOUNT SECURITY DETAILS b) IM NOT THE BT ACCOUNT HOLDER.
I press a) then it says validation failed,,phone this number,which I have as stated in my first post.Im at a loss,ive had this email for 20 yrs plus and im not the only one having this problem,by looking at community notes,but mine aint getting fixed.

forgot to add,i did try to access the email using the t21@btinternet.com it says this user does not exist!

Have you tried using the "Forgot Log in details" on the  BTMail  log on page?

Do you have a MyBT? If you do can you log onto that?

Have you tried the BTMail Help line Email Team  rather than just the "normal" help line?

the first solution your saying 'forgot log in details' I type my email address AND IT SAYS We found a BT ID and a BT email account for MY EMAIL ADDRESS,PLEASE CHOOSE AN ACCOUNT TO CONTINUE WHICH I OPTED FOR WAS FOR RESET PASSWORD FOR BT EMAIL.WHICH I DID THEN IT GOES TO THE SAME LOOP AS BEFORE>> IN WE SUSPECT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY,WE HAVE RESTRICTED YOUR ACCOUNT FOR SAFETY,PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR SECURITY DETAILS.... THE SAME OLD,THEN BACK TO THAT DREADED PHONE NUMBER. I DO HAVE MY bt AS IM A BUSINESS BROADBAND CUSTOMER BUT FOR SOME REASON WHEN I LOG IN IT SAYS ACCESS DENIED!! AND THE link YOU GAVE FOR email team DONT WORK.

Why are you posting in capitals!

The link works fine for me otherwise I would not have posted it.

You will need to call BT 0330.1234.150 and ask for the Email Team.
