We have seen reports about a Phishing email in which scammers alert you to a voicemail message that has apparently been left by BT.
If you receive an email with the subject title of 'New voice message from BT Team' this is a scam. The email states that you have a new voice mail and you can listen to this message by clicking on a link contained within the email. Do not click on this link
- Forward the email to phishing@bt.com then delete it
- If a suspicious link was clicked or attachment opened/downloaded then run a virus check on your computer
- If bank details were given out then contact your bank immediately and change your online banking passwords
