Scam Email from "BT + EE Voice" - resolves as email address 'tcfd@htva.net'

Go to solution

My wife received an Email from "BT + EE Voice" yesterday in to her BT mail box telling her that there was a voice mail waiting for her - the Email address resolves as "tcfd@htva.net'. HTVA is a local cable and broadband provider in upstate New York in the US!

Has anyone else heard of or seen this scam Email.

I will forward this Email on to the phishing@bt.com in the (vain) hope that they are able to investigate.

I have also flagged this up with HTVA in the US.

Please also note that the Email was sent to multiple recipients but which weren't identifiable so no way of knowing how widely this Email was disemminated.
