This useless "new and improved" email system

Can anyone help me 3 other issues on this new email system please?

1. The left hand pane containing the folders is way to big and when i make it smaller it reverts to it's original very large size. Can i change it once so that it stays that way?

2. I don't get hundreds of emails so can i get rid of the unwanted division where it puts emails into daily sections , just one list is fine for me

3. Can i change the awful default font to something less jarring on the eye?

I hope someone can help me and thank you in anticipation.

All of the above are a "features" of the "new" email interface and can not be changed by the user. I may be, although I am doubtful, that being able to change things to what you want could change in a future update.
