Attempted Email Hacking

Hi, I'm on holiday abroad and started to receive OTPs via txt. I believe someone is trying to get into my email account. The txts are coming every 2 or 3 hours. Having received a few I got up in the middle of the night and changed my password. Initially I was unable to, as the account was locked for 20 mins due to too many attempts, confirming there was an attempt to get in.

First thing this morning I had a txt off BT stating they detected unusual behaviour on the account and had locked it. I went through the security checks and reset the password for a very long, strong one.

However, the OTPs continue to be received. Should I do something else?

I have called BT but there's a 20 minute cue, and being abroad this could be very costly.

advice please.

Re: Attempted Email Hacking

Thank you, it gives me some reassurance it is a wider problem than someone specifically targeting me.
