Two issues with calendar, one appeared today and one longstanding.
Today's issue: I have not received any email reminders for the events I set up for today's date. Is it just me or are others experiencing this problem?
Historic issue: whenever I search for an event in calendar, the list of matches appears to be restricted to one page. I get the historic events but none more recent ones once the page has been filled. This is annoying as I then have to delete sufficient historic events to permit the recent ones to fit into the single page. Would it be possible to extend the number of events to include all those which match the search criteria, not just the oldest ones i.e. remove the single page restriction when presenting the results of the search.
Thanks.
ADDENDUM to yesterday's post: 2 calendar email reminders today out of 8 expected. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Hi @delphinium9
Are you still using webmail on Firefox or is this on a different platform/the BT Email app? Are you always logged in? If so, it could be worth logging out and back in again.
Chris
Hi Christopher,
Thanks for your reply. I still use the Firefox browser to log into the BT email service as I always have done. I (still!) get logged off regularly by BT (2-3 times a day) if I haven't utilised the system for a while. However, just to make sure, I did log myself off and then logged in again but this didn't make any difference.
I don't know whether the reminders are not being activated or if they are being sent to a different email address. I still have an old "btopenworld" email address whereas BT now uses "btinternet". Whilst I still get all my emails that are sent to "btopenworld", is it possible that BT has somehow turned off the mechanism that sends the reminder emails to my main email address? Or is there another issue which has suddenly stopped sending my email reminders?
Any help to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated as I have come to rely on the email reminders to let me know what I need to be doing each day.
Derek
Chris,
PS I did get a message sent to "btopenworld" to let me know that you had posted a reply......so something still works!
Chris,
A couple more things to add which may help identify what's going wrong:
1. I set up a single occurrence test event earlier today to send a reminder at 11.00 o'clock today. This worked (although none on the other events which were already scheduled for today sent reminders);
2. When I set up an event requiring monthly recurrences, the event for May did not get set up although the events for subsequent months did get set up.
These issues I've been experiencing with Calendar only started on Tuesday this week (20 May). Did BT make any updates to the email software that day?
