@maxsam  You’ve created 3 completely separate threads with exactly the same content?

Don't create 3 threads for the same problem.

You have probably selected attachment view.

I have just been sent an email, which has a little figure of a person with a number 1 next to it, is this an attachment? I know, but not that good at tech.

I am not exactly sure what you are seeing but it may be that in your email settings you have the box ticked to display the senders avatar in the list of emails and you also have the "View" set to conversation view.

Conversation view gathers together the emails from the same sender that you and the sender have been sending to each other by using the "reply to" function which the emails system has interpreted as a "conversation" and added them together in one heading in your list and adds a number to that so you can see at a glance how many emails are in the "conversation".

To turn off "Conversation View" log onto your BTMail account and click on "View" in the menu bar at the right hand side. Scroll down and Single click "Conversation View" to toggle it on or off.

When you toggle it on or off you will see the name "Conversation View" change colour from grey to blue when it is turned on.

To turn off the "avatar" log onto your account and click on your user name at the top right and select "settings".

Click on "Mail" in the left hand column then look for "show avatar in message list" and if it is ticked, untick it and click "Save".
