Hi all,
Has anyone had this issue before? I have been on holiday in Europe since the beginning of April, and until last Tuesday - 16th April - I could send and receive mails on my Apple Mac, my Ipad, and my Samsung phone, using WiFi. That's no longer happening.
I can only get my mail now if I log into webmail, or when I use mobile data on my phone.
I've spoken to BT Tech help, who believe this is due to something in BT's terms and conditions, which states they do not guarantee access to email outside the UK. This has never happened to me before in the twenty-five or so years I've had a BTinternet email account.
Has anyone else had this type of thing happen to them? And is it really a terms and conditions issue?
Thanks
Bellowman

You have been given a load of flannel. BT might not guarantee/support that email clients will work when abroad but that does not mean that they won't work. In any event you have said that it does work when using your mobile data.
It may be that the wireless connection that you are using is on a blacklist somewhere and BT is blocking access to the email client/app BT servers.
If you have access to the router that you are connecting through you could try turning it of for about 30 minutes and when it reconnects it might be issued with a new IP address that is not on a blacklist or if you have a VPN you could try using that with a connection to a UK server
If you are unable to do that I would suggest that you do not try making any changes to your devices settings and just continue to use webmail until you return to the UK or use your mobile data when picking up your emails.
