I switched off hub for 30 minutes and cleared cache. It worked the first time i used email.bt.com, but the next time went back to same problem as before.
Hmm, incognito mode is effectively no different to clearing cookies and cache so it's odd that that didn't work.
Hey @Mum2Emma.
As @licquorice has mentioned here, private browsing ignores any of your existing browser settings and cached data, so if this works when trying this, then clearing these should have the same effect?
Have you followed all the instructions for Chrome that Google recommend here?
Peter
Unfortunately switching the hub off for 30 minutes made no difference. I will try phoning the number suggested when I have time.
Just cleared all cookies and it worked, I'm in! Just hope it keeps working c/o post above saying it only worked once.
I have tried clearing both & sadly your link just takes me to the EE Community page, am I missing something on there?
just tried again to get on via the BT page but same problem ! just goes round and round as per the original problem.
Im going to try clearing both again and restarting my laptop to see if that works......
My apologies @Mum2Emma, that link should have been the following:
Clear cache & cookies - Computer - Google Account Help
I'll update my original post too 😊
Peter
I'm not particularly IT literate, but it appears that when I cleared the cookies and was able to log in to BT my browser had switched from Edge to Bing. Just in case that helps anyone.
