Hi all,
Way back when, I was told to use CardDAV and CalDAV to sync my BT email contacts and calendar with my iPhone. Since resetting my BT password, I have been unable to sync my calendar or contacts with BT when I create them on my iPhone. I've tried the old password and the new one but no luck. I've also deleted and reinstalled the BT mail address on the phone but still getting an error.
Can anyone help? Is there a way to have the BT mail automatically update the contacts I enter via my iPhone contacts without using the above?
Thanks!
Hi @jroyle
Are you still able to Sync emails as normal since resetting your password?
Ali
Hi Ali,
My email is fine and I can access it through the Apple mail app on the phone. It's when I create a new contact using the iPhone Contacts app that I get the error so it doesn't add it to my BT contacts like it used to.
This is the error:
Image removed due to containing personal info
It then asks for a password. I tried using my current BT email password and the one previous to that but it won't accept either.
I know this is how I was told to do it when I first got an iPhone and it was working happily until I had to reset my BT mail password. Since then, I keep getting this error. I also can't see my BT calendar for the same reason (CalDAV).
Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks.
I don't use Apple devices, but it sounds as though you need to change your password on both your calender and contacts apps to match your new email password. Entering the new password when prompted with the error message doesn't appear to change the password.
You need to edit your screenshot as your email address is visible.
You can only edit posts for one hour after posting.
I'll ask one of the mods to edit it.
Have you asked on an Apple forum, it seems to be an Apple problem rather than BT problem.
