Delete signatures

In attempting to change my signature at the end of an email and getting it wrong several times, I have exceeded the number of signatures allowed.

How do I delete a lot of them or all of them? I have highlighted them and clicked 'Delete', but they don't disappear. Two signatures could be handy: one for formal letters with my name and surname, and one for emails to friends with just my first name. If I can delete my earlier attempts and insert two signatures, how would I get the first or second signature? How do I include a valediction (Regards, Best Wishes, etc) above my name?

Log onto your email account using a web browser and click on your user name at the top right then click on settings and go to "Mail" at the left hand side then "Signatures". Click on the ones you want to delete and click on the small trash "bin" icon at the right hand side.

When you add a new signature or want to edit it there is a text box to enter the message you want to be seen as part of your signature. Once added remember to click "Save".

Thank you, DS. You need bl**dy good eyesight to see those bins. But success at last, I now have my signature below whatever I've written. Who on earth would want their signature above the original email. What do they mean by "original" email? If I could  go through it all again, if I added another signature, how would I select which of the two signatures to put at the end of an email? Atm my signature consists of 'Regards', a line space, then my full name. I can delete my surname in emails to friends, which seems the easiest way to have two signatures, but I'm open to instructions.

First set up your signatures then decide if you want one to be the "default" signature.

If you do, tick the box "Default". This signature will automatically be inserted into every email you send.

However if you want to change it to one of the other save signatures, when composing your email if you click on the "Options" part of the "attachment/options" button at the right hand side you will open a dropdown box with the other signatures you have saved.

You can select one and that will override the default signature and be inserted into the email. Once that email has been sent the signature for the next email will have reverted back to the default signature.

The same way as I found out. I don't use signatures so to try and help I just tried setting them up until I found the way to do it.

@Bert4545 by ferreting around in settings and discovering how things work rather than having to be spoon fed precise instructions all the time.
