Email Login on desktop computer

I can login to my emails on my mobile phone, but when it comes to logging in on my desktop computer it does not work. I can also log in to My BT on my desktop computer. When I log in to BT mail.com on my computer it brings up my email address, but when I put in my password it gets stuck and the  timer just goes round and round, never opening my emails. What do you think the problems is? Thank you

I just tried logging in for the 10th time and hey presto it worked! I have no idea why it does not always work!

Re: Email Login on desktop computer

Have you tried clearing your web browser's history and cookies from the browser that you are using on your PC. When you do that make sure that you select the option "Clear All Time" if your browser offers that option.

You should also try using the direct email log on page by using the Email button at the top of this page or by using the following BTMail

If your email address is stored and being automatically entered by your web browser you should make sure that it is correct and if it is automatically entering the password you should check that is also correct. You can view the password by going into your web browsers settings.

Re: Email Login on desktop computer

Just a thought.

As you say it works on your mobile but not the desktop, years ago people often had problems with the keyboard being configured for the US.  That switches certain characters round and sometimes interfered with passwords going in.  Don't usually see it these days but worth a check?

Re: Email Login on desktop computer

I too have this issue. It suspiciously happens when Microsoft has a big update. I'm sick of this issue happening with bt mail. I don't have any issue with gmail.

I don't want to have to clear my cookies as it affects all my other logins. That is such a pain and it is only with BT login that I have to do this

Re: Email Login on desktop computer

@LOSTit1 I am not sure what browser you are using to give specific instructions but most will have the option to only delete specific website cookies rather than clear your full cookies. So if you run into an issue where you need to clear cookies from the BT website to potentially resolve you should just be able to clear those ones and not affect your other logins.
