My friend, who has a BT account and uses BT Mail, has just had a problem that has not occurred before. He sent an email with a 2page copy of a letter as an attachment (that was attached by 'drag&drop' method) but the attachment did not arrive. BT notification stated a problem with the 'server'.? The email could be sent but as soon as the attachment was included, it would not work. Any suggestions to resolve this as he could previously send an email and attachment without a problem
What size is the attachment?
Are there any links in the attachment or is the title anything that could be construed as spam?
Rather than drag and drop the attachment has he tried adding the attachment by clicking on the paper clip icon at the right hand side of the composed email and selecting the attachment manually.
Has he tried using a different web browser to see if it sends?
Actually, I am not sure as my friend is not internet savvy. That said, I did send myself 2 test photos as an attachment and that was successful with a total of 7MB. Apparently the letter concerned was about 2 x A4 with purely text so I would assume that it is a lot less than 7MB.. ??
Hi GG
As you can see, I have replied to 'licquorice' concerning his comment. I have already suggested that he try sending the email etc by gmail and will also pass on your suggestions. Thank you in advance for your input. I will reply as and when I get a reply from my friend.
