Email stopped working on iphone

My email in mail app has stopped working on my iPhone but fine on the wife’s as she gets my emails as I’m not good at checking .  I’ve deleted the account re added , changed password tried without home by wifi all good on wife’s iPhone but still can’t add on mine .  Says can’t reach server everytime and error had done manual add .  If I go in via actual online remain it’s fine so why can’t I do it in my normal mail app driving me nuts !  Any ideas please

Same for me....just suddenly unable to send or receive any emails on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. PC based emails working ok so it must be connected to Apple. Best wait 24 hrs see if it resets?

@Marty500  It may have no bearing on the problem, but have you updated to the latest iOS 27 yet? There’s been plenty of security updates in that release, but to be fair it probably shouldn’t cause the issue you are experiencing.

Hi, I'm running on iOS Version 26.7, no option to upgrade to iOS 27 on my iPhone as of today.

Tried my email again this morning & still having the same problem.

@Marty500  Hi. I’m in no way saying you are incorrect about you not being able to update to iOS 27, but I have a iPhone 17 and I updated mine on iOS 27 release day. The update you currently have was also an option on my iPhone but when I scrolled down past it, iOS 27 was there. I noticed this on my Wife’s iPhone the other day as she’s not updated her iPhone yet, you have to scroll past the 26.7 update notification and the iOS 27 update should be there.

Are you a BT Broadband customer?

Does this happen when using a 4/5g connection or on another network such as at a friend's or does it only happen on your home's wireless connection?

Hiya I have disconnected from our home by hub and also tried away from home for him literally everything on here as advised and nothing working !  He did update his phone last week  and I didn’t which maybe the difference

Hi, I've found the option to upgrade to iOS 27 so let's see if this does the trick.....

Well I've updated the iPhone to iOS 27.0 & my BT emails are still not being picked up.

My only option now is to install a non Apple email App & see if that does the trick.

Conclusion: it's definitely something to do with Apple. 

My Desktop PC email is unaffected but I need to pick up my emails when out of the office.

@Marty500  Well it was still worth a shot and at least now, your iPhone is fully up to date with security updates.

I personally don't use BT Email and so I don't have the issue you have, so whether you already use Apple's built in email client (I assume you do and that's the problem), then you perhaps as you have suggested, another email client may work.
