I didn't say it won't be addressed. I said I doubt it will be which means it is possible they will.

Blaming the sender for sending plain text is not an answer -

1) we can not always control what people send.

2) I have an email that does not wrap in BT webmail, but is shown find when viewed in Googlemail - the receiving app/viewer CAN cope if it wants to.  Gmail also adds ">" symbols in the viewer to show line breaks.

Please bump the priority for solving this - I am posting after looking at this for a vulnerable older person, who relies on email a lot, but who gets confused when things like this let them down.

Nobody gave an answer and the sender of the email is not being "blamed for sending plain text". 

Re read message 10 and in particular the following "Having carried out a few tests it would appear that the issue is because the sending emails are in Plain Text rather than Rich Text and the BTMail system is not adjusting the plain formatting as it should."

I then said "If you want to test and confirm this you could try and have the senders change their email formatting to Rich Text."

As I said, at no point was I blaming the sender and I also said "Meanwhile I will advise the moderators of the issue so that they can make the email team aware of the problem however I doubt anything will be done to fix it".  Which I did and they haven't.

Thank you for your continued interest in this.

I believe you are correct, more and more correspondents are using plain text and cause increasing frustration because it doesn't wrap.  I may have to use a different mail client.

It's a pity an organisation the size of BT can't make email work properly, and is so disinterested in its customers it does not bother to fix known issues.

I have been following this thread because I have the same problem with received emails. If anyone is being bothered to try to fix it, they are not having much success. In fact it is getting worse. It used to be that each paragraph would be formatted as a single long line. Now I am getting emails in which the entire content is one super long line. 

Fix it, please!

Text does not wrap when sent in a particular format.  It can be beyond the wit of BT engineers to check for this type of message filter and amend it.  Makes you wonder why you bother paying so much for this "service"!
