How to unblock the e-mail address of a welcome sender

Go to solution

How do I unblock an e-mail address that seems to have been  blocked by me in the past.  I could not see the address in the blocked list but when trying to find it anothed way it was implied that it was blocked by me several years ago.  How do i unblock the e-mail address.  I tried to use safe sender but that did not seem responsive to my clicking on it.

The sender is a family member so need to 'unblock 'it.   My wife receives e-mails from the sender so we know friend's address works ok,  I read thought the unblock list  but counld not see the em address of the friend  but trying another way it implied that the address had been blocked

Will adding a name to safe sender cancel out a blocked sender?   I tried to see if the recipient's name was in the blocked but could not see it.  In trying different approaches, encountered a few times that it was a blocked address even though I could not see it on the blocked list accessible from my account.  Hence wondered whether a safe sender designation would override a blocked e-m address?

Re: How to unblock an e-mail address

I have merged your two posts because having two threads running regarding the same issue just leads to confusion and duplication of effort.

Adding an email address in the "Safe Sender" list does not cancel a blocked email address, especially if as you have stated the email address is not in the list.

As well as the email address that you believe to be blocked you should check in the "Blocked Senders" list for the email domain ie the part after @.

If it is not there you should then add it to your "Safe Senders" list to see if that helps.

What other method have you used that stated that you blocked the email several years ago?
