Re: Keep me logged in

@mar5kmozart Thanks. Would you please post your problem on the  "Feedback" thread which is being monitored by the BT moderators.

The problem has been reported before but another instance won't hurt.

Re: Keep me logged in

"I know you keep mentioning client mail but I have no idea how to do it."

It really is very simple. Just open a brower and type in Thunderbird . the Thunderbird webpage will then open with a button you can click to download the Thunderbird software. Save this somewhere where you can easily find it and then click on the .exe file that you've just downloaded.
Thunderbird will then install and you'll be presented with a page that invites you to set up an email. Just type in your BT email address and password and you'll open up your email account.
You can do the same thing for any other email accounts you have so that you can then access them all from one page - much better than having to open different webmail pages to get to each email account.
If you can use a computer, you can use Thunderbird!

Re: Keep me logged in

You are replying to a two and half year old thread that us entirely irrelevant to your problem.

Thunderbird logging out has nothing to do with BT.

Mail clients don't stay logged in, they log in periodically (periodicity set by user) to retrieve mail and then log out again.

Re: Keep me logged in

Sorry but I made a mistake here.  don't have the problem using Thunderbird! I have frequent almost daily need to login to BT Mail on my mobile which doesn't have Thunderbird. Sorry for my confusion. So do you have a fix? Regards, Ross Jeal

Re: Keep me logged in

Good morning, @rossjeal

Do you use any VPNs on your device that could be altering your IP address?

Also can you just let me know any troubleshooting steps you've tried so far, too?

We always recommend checking things like reinstalling the app and ensuring your handset is fully up to date, too.

Re: Keep me logged in

Peter,

Bt mail, has not had a “keep me logged in” for sometime now which started this all off. Where do you see this? Btmail often logs off in a very short time making it very annoying. I use it both on ipad and windows 11 laptop.

Re: Keep me logged in

Thanks for the correction here @walace58

I immediately jumped into giving some troubleshooting steps for the most recent posts on this old thread and overlooked the wider context around this change.

I'll update my post just so there's no confusion here.

Peter
