Locked out of my BT ID (2FA loop) due to inactive email deletion in June

Hi Moderators

I am having a frustrating issue accessing my email account and need some back-end assistance to break security loop.
In June, my BT email address was automatically deleted due to non-use. I understand that all the data inside the email is gone permanently.  However, I want to log into my main My BT account to see if I can use the official self-service ‘reuse’ feature to reclaim the email address name.
The problem is that I can’t log into to My BT ID. When I try, the system insists in sending the two step authentication/verification code straight to the deleted email address. Because the address is deleted, I can never receive the code to log in.

I have tried calling phone support, but the frontline agents are confusing my request with a request for data recovery and telling me it’s impossible. I just need my BT ID profile recovery details updated so that the security codes go to my mobile phone or an alternative email.
Could the community moderator please look into this to this and send me a private message to the email I’ve used to register for this forum, and help me update my BT ID log in recovery method. I am still an active BT broadband customer.

Many thanks for your help.

The moderators do not have account access.

You will need to call BT Billing 0330.1234.150 and ask them to help. If they can not help ask for the BTMail email team who should be able to assist.
