Hi @LB21

Welcome to the Community

Are you receiving general emails as normal? Are you able to receive Verification Email codes from any other companies or services?

@LB21

As it's only Microsoft codes you're having a problem with, it may be worth having a look at their Troubleshooting verification code issues page.

Re: Microsoft verification code

I started getting this a day or so ago when using Edge because I couldn't log in using Chrome (That's another unsolved problem)

The guide (for once knew what he was talking about) said that 2FA was being rolled out for all users without telling them.

To switch it off,  log on to MYBT     Hover your cursor over the   MY BT   Tab.    Choose     Personal Details  under     My Details

Scroll down past your  Personal Details, and you will see the option to switch it off as I did, and it worked.

Two-step authentication

Increase security on your account by receiving a unique passcode when you log in to BT apps and services on a device. You'll need to re-log in to your BT services when you set up two step authentication.

Two-step authentication is currently OFF

Re: Microsoft verification code

How does having BT's two step authentication turned on to prevent unauthorised access to BT accounts stop verification of a Microsoft account?

Re: Microsoft verification code

As a heads-up on part of this, Microsoft Authenticator is being decommissioned.  That, combined with some odd secure browsing behaviour in Microsoft Edge, is beginning to cause some issues for some people.

*If you are using edge, even with secure browsing turned off, and supposedly using the default system DNS, it'll still use a combination of Google and Cloudflare DNS.  Noticed while checking different browsers to see if my ad filtering was working!

I only learn by making mistakes and owning up to them - boy do I learn a lot!
