My BT login doom loop

Go to solution

Whatever device I use I keep finding myself locked into a loop when I try to logon to MY BT. Email address and password are accepted then the One Time Pin arrives by text or mail . I enter that and can get no further as MyBT or BT email just loop me back to a login . The same thing happens on different browsers on Android phone, Ipad or Windows laptop

is there a solution to this?

Password Issues

Go to solution

I have reset my password via the BTID page. I have updated my email accounts on my Android phone, Apple IPad and Windows laptop and everything is fine.

However if I try to log into MyBT online or via the App it only recognises my previous password . However long does it take for MyBT to recognise the new password?

Equally weird, talking to an EE call centre about cancelling My BT/EE TV account they couldn’t get either password to work to access the BT system to remove it from My Products

is there anything I should know

Numerous posts like yours. BT are working on it. Have you uninstalled the MYBT app  and re-install and see if that helps. I had exactly same problem and mine was fixed today and can now access the new MYBT

Re: My BT login doom loop

Many thanks. I uninstalled and reinstalled and at first the doom loop prevailed but after tuning off VPN ( !!) it suddenly started working and I was able to establish a personal PIN and passkey (as yet untested) . App is an improvement but doesn’t seem to let you reset the BTID password or cancel services at tge end of the contract period.

appreciate the help

Re: My BT login doom loop

You can not cancel the BT from BT at the end of contract online without calling BT.

If you want to move away from BT you just need to us the One Touch Switch (OTS) system where you select which ISP you want to move to and initiate the move and the receiving ISP does all the notification for you and cancels your present ISP, in this case BT.
