I have recently changed my computer to a Dell with windows 11. I have 2BT email accounts. I now find that I only receive email on the default account and can see no sent messages (historically) on that account and nothing on the other account at all. Have tried the BT chat but after nearly an hour got nowhere.
I use Windows Live Mail which worked fine with Windows 10 on my old PC. However the issue is the same if I log into BT email. Any advice?
Thanks, paul

Hi @PPV,
Welcome to the BT Community
So the second e-mail address is not receiving anything even when checking via BT Webmail? Have you been able to check in the BT Mail app on your phone to see if that e-mail is working there, just to confirm if it is working anywhere?
Can you send messages from the e-mail address ok you are just not receiving anything and cannot see historical sent messages on either?
Alex
Hi, thanks for responding. Having been on BT chat for an hour they don’t know why it has happened. And they can’t recover things more than about 5 days old I was told.
I have since sorted it partly with the PC supplier. For some reason as I use POP & SMTP my ports had changed to a default set so I had to reset them. Of course this means have lost all outgoing emails so will have to fire up my old PC to see if they are on local storage somewhere. BT said change to IMAP settings but again I asked them if that would let me recover things if “lost” and they said maybe.
@PPV Thanks for coming back with an update glad to hear its partly resolved. When you do use POP3 it will mean changes on your local device wont automatically sync with the BT Mail server.
It would definitely be worth changing to an IMAP setup for the future like recommended. If you don't already have them the settings are available on our help page BT Email server settings
Hopefully any e-mails you do need are still available on the mail client on your previous PC
