Openreach email

Go to solution

Hi all,

Just checking that an email I have received is not a scam etc as I accidentally clicked on load imaged 😞.

no-reply@info.openreach.co.uk

It was about full fibre coming to my area.

Thanks!

Re: Openreach email

This is a BT retail customer to customer forum. It has nothing to do with Openreach which is a separate company within the BT Group.

It is not possible to say or not whether the email is a scam without knowing the full content of the email and what it was asking you to do if anything.

You would need to check with Openreach to ascertain if it is a scam or not  however the email address that you have posted appears to be genuine and as it is a no reply email address it can not be replied to so there would be no gain for any scammer.

Do not click on or reply to any links in any email that you suspect is a scam.

I received a similar email. Likely a scam as Openreach are '.com' and the email is from '.co.uk'

I'd be interested to know how a "fibre is coming" email could possibly be a scam tbh, also a no reply email as well, hardly screams scam tbh

@noddle73 @

Openreach do use .co.uk

If you do an Internet search for the email address of Openreach CEO you will see the suffix is openreach.co.uk

BT use .com for its Employees and Openreach use .co.uk

At least they did when I was a CST.
