I have recently been experiencing em log in issues. I have changed my password but I wonder now if I should have changed both the password for bt em and also the password for my own mail box as well as my son's box which I gave him from my allowed free boxes. There seems to be two signs ins now one presumably for BTID and one for each person's mail box?.
If so, I can access the first sign in box when signing on but not sure about where the other sign in boxes are for individual accts.

There would be multiple logins in this case, so the passwords would be managed separately and only need changed if you are unable to access that specific account.
It sounds like the one you can access is your BTID which you use to manage your BT products including any email addresses, which are managed by logging into My BT which is a button on the top right of the BT website.
Then there is the login for each of your BT Mailbox to access your inbox and send emails etc, this login page is accessed by clicking the Email button on the top right of the BT website or by the link on this page.
