Re: Problem attaching photos

Hi there @JeffS

Thanks for coming to the community.

Which device are you using?

Do you have an option in the device settings to enable the app to have access to photos?

Thanks.

Leanne.

Re: Problem attaching photos

You have not said what operating system your phone has so I will answer you with what I have and that is Android.

I don't use the BTMail app which I also find to be dire. I prefer the Bluemail app so I can not be specific to BTMail but in general to allow or block permission is as follows :-

On Android you need to go to the settings then select "Apps" then look for BTMail or what ever it is called in the Apps list. Once you find it click on it and look down what permissions it can request.  If it shows one for Photos click on it to allow.

There is also a Security and Privacy setting in Android which contains the Permissions Manager. If you click on that and go through the Photos and Videos it should show what is allowed to access them and it will also show which apps are not allowed to access them. If BTMail is there click on it to allow the permission.

Re: Problem attaching photos

Thanks - that's sorted it, and I've got the photos sent. Happy to look at alternatives to the BT when I have the time. As you've seen, I'm no expert ( ! ), so moving an app is something I'd like to spend time on before committing to it.

Cheers  Jeff

Re: Problem attaching photos

Thanks - gg30340 has provided the info. I'm happy to look at Bluemail, but I don't want to start a change of app until I have the time to look at it properly

Re: Problem attaching photos

Hi Leanne - thanks for your post

gg30340has given me the info I need to allow photos to be attached in the BT app.

Whilst I appreciate the honesty of the advice on the quality of the BT App, for those of us at not so  high a level of expertise , just telling me the app is useless and to dump it rather took me aback. I'll certainly look at the suggested option, but when I have a chance to review it properly.

Best regards  Jeff

Re: Problem attaching photos

Bear in mind you can operate both apps on your device simultaneously, there is no need to uninstall one before installing another.
