I have had the same issue in the last few days. I can get my emails by logging onto BT about not on my phone or iPad accounts. I am an EE customer now but that switch from BT was ages ago and I have not been advised of any ‘downgrade’

Check that your iPad/iPhone have the correct IMAP settings as per this link.

Check that your BTMail email account is still registered as a "Standard" account. To do that log onto your MyBT and go to "Your Products" then "Email Manage". It should show the status as "Standard" and not "Basic".
