Hmm, not the answer I was seeking to a similar question!
I'm not looking at folders within my inbox - yes I do have a need to split. When going into e-mail via the internet - mybt, btmail, the layout shows folders BUT the system splits the inbox so there are different headings across the top denoting Inbox Social Other, each containing e-mails which the system has separated. These are not folders made by me. I only go into my e-mail via MyBt, etc when the stupid mail system doesn't synchronise with Outlook. Worse, when using on my phone I'm asked for verification and then get blank screen. I'm tearing my hair out with the latter synchronisation problems! Hopefully a simple (is anything simple these days) will resolve the issue, but for now I can't be bothered to spend many hours on the phone. HELP!

I have moved you onto your own thread because the one you posted on is not the same as your "problem" and the thread was also marked as solved.
You need to log onto your email account using a web browser (webmail) then click on your username at the right hand side and click on settings.
When there, click on "Mail" in the left hand column then if the box "Inbox Sorting" is ticked, untick it and click "Save".
Following this thread.
I don't have that "inbox sorting" as described below. Any other suggestions? Its sooo frustrating.
Use a web browser and if you are using it on a mobile device make sure it is using the "Desktop View" and not the "Mobile View" To change it go to the browsers settings, and log onto your email account
Go to the Email account settings by clicking on your username and selecting "Settings" then go to the left hand column and click on "Mail". This will open the General Settings, scroll down these settings and you will find a box called "Inbox Sorting" untick the small box that is beside it.
