Same problem here, even after turning router off for 40 minutes.

Report it to BT and don't let them fob you off - it must be a BT issue !!!

I have exactly the same problem, on both my own and my wife's PCs, starting yesterday afternoon.  Furthermore, our son has just phoned to say he is in the same boat!

We all use the Classic Outlook email client (POP3 protocol):
- all emails sent to my @btopenworld.com address appear in Outlook with no subject and no sender
- the body of the email is scrambled
- emails sent to my other address are fine

At the moment we have resorted to using BT webmail, where the messages show correctly, but this is playing havoc with my Outlook email filing system!   Interestingly the emails also show correctly in the Mail app on our iPhones.

Presumably this is a BT server issue of some kind...

Both my wife and I have had this same problem using MS Outlook mail client since yesterday.

Just spoke to BT support who say that it is not an issue with BT Email servers but with MS Outlook (surprise, surprise).

However I have no problem at all with emails received from other email accounts (GMail and Hostinger) into the same MS Outlook client. There's clearly some BT server or a compatibility issue here.

Outlook is intermittently reporting Task ’....@btinternet.com - Receiving’ reported error (0x800CCC90) : ’Your incoming (POP3) email server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).’

Not holding my breath....
