I use an email applicataion and I have found that occasionally I do not get emails that I know have been sent. Loging in to BT mail via the internet I have found occasionally an email sent to me has been put into spam, and is thus not avaialble to my usual access system(Thunderbird). Is there any way to stop emails being put into spam?

The short answer to your question is no.
However, if you configure Thunderbird as IMAP rather than POP3, the spam folder is available to you.
Also mark the sender as safe sender in webmail.

Re: SPAM
You can't change on the fly, you have to delete the account and recreate it.
