I tried.. i think perhaps if I need help in future, I will ring BT.. I have never felt unwelcome on a forum before - this is my first time.

It might be worth you checking to see if your email address has been the subject of a data breach. There is a website called ‘HaveIbeenPwned . com’

I won’t post the link, you can Google search it and do it yourself if you wish, it’s free to use, but if you put your email into their email search, it will likely tell you if your email has been released in a hack somewhere in the past. It has happened to me in the past, I discovered an old Hotmail address of mine had been released in a data breach, it’s actually a very common occurrence. In my case, I just deleted the email address and started using a new email address.
