Should I delete spam or leave it?

If I mark an email as spam and it moves into the "Spam" folder, can I immediately delete it or does it need to remain in the "Spam" folder for a specific length of time for the spam filters to respond to it?

I always delete spam but I think you can set up an option on your app to automatically delete ever XX amount of days...

My question really relates to whether spam emails have to remain in my spam folder for the spam filters to recognise them as spam?

Or can they be moved to spam then immediately deleted?

Hi @grahamm1 

Once you report an email as spam, the information is immediately sent to our servers. You can delete it straight away if you wish. 
By default, email in the Spam folder is automatically deleted after a month anyway.
