Transferring an email from another account

My main email address was set up over 20 years ago as part of my parents BT account when I was a child. 

A few years ago I signed up for BT broadband using my existing BT email as my BT ID and that is the address my own account is under. 

My parents have left BT and today I received an email saying my email account would be downgraded to basic in 60 days because my services had been cancelled because my email is still linked to my parents account. 

There’s a link in my BT account to import an email address but this doesn’t work. Is there something I’m missing?

Do you already have a BT email account with your own BT Broadband account?

If not you will probably have to contact the BTMail Team on 0330.1234.150 and ask them to associate the email account you are wanting to move to your BT Broadband account.
