Hi there,
I am guessing the answer is pretty obvious, nevertheless I'd like to ask the question.
What happens to your BTinternet email address if you change providers? Is it lost forever, or can you still use it albeit through another means, e.g. PAYG (if that option, of course, still exists)
Thanks

You can keep your BT email after leaving BT Broadband, but it will automatically downgrade to a free Basic email unless you choose to upgrade to Premium email for £7.50 per month.
This means that you can use it from a web browser but not from an email client.
I suggest you could then set up an independent email address and start using that, while forwarding emails from the btinternet one to your new one.

It gets downgraded to the free BTMail Basic which can only be used on a web browser.
If you want to use it with an email client or email app you will need to geta BTMail Premium account.

Forwarding might work for a while but it can be removed at anytime so you should not depend on it.
