email not sending due to a stated content conflict with policy

Go to solution

Too frequently I get the following message when trying to send a mail or even reply to one I have received..

Sorry your email could not be delivered due to content policy reasons. Please check your message content for URLs, content and subject matter that could be construed as Malware, Spam or Phishing before retrying. (6-1-3-1) ID (694543230462D9FE)

This stated error is IMPOSSIBLE because even a mail with a simple subject title and one word content receives the same error.

It "unblocks" itself eventually but I have no idea why it does this. It is SOOOO frustrating. How can I prevent it or recover from this when the block starts. It seems to happen on my laptop AND mobile app.

Hi @LuigiAK.

Thanks for coming to the community.

If you’re using a VPN, try turning this off before sending an email. Some VPN IP addresses can get flagged, and cause this.

It might also help to sign out of webmail or the app and sign back in again, or try a different browser. This can help clear any blocks.

If this keeps happening, please get in touch with our team so they can take a look and help get this sorted.

Debbie

Thank you Debbie. Closing down my laptop seems to be the only solution. I don't use VPNs on my laptop but good to know this might cause the problem as I do use it on my mobile.
