emails in a folder disappearing

For a number of years, I have had folders that I put emails in that I want to keep - i.e HOLIDAYS /SCOUTS etc etc

Just recently, on 2 occasions I have gone to look for a folder to retrieve my saved emails for work I needed to follow up on. On one occasion - the folder had disappeared with the email content. Today - emails in my HOLIDAYS folder have just vanished - the folder is there this time - any ideas what's going on ? Anyone else experienced this ?

Are you finding that this is happening when logging in through webmail, through the BT email app or an email client?

Thank you for your reply.

I access my emails on my laptop via Chrome to open the BT mail page.

Does that answer your question - Im not in any way tecchie - as you may have guessed !

If you use the search option, do the emails show that are missing? If you check the trash folder, are they showing?
