error sending email

After composing an email and clicking the Send button I get this message:

Sorry your email could not be delivered due to content policy reasons. Please check your message content for URLs, content and subject matter that could be construed as Malware, Spam or Phishing before retrying. (6-1-3-1) [or (6-1-1-1) ] ID (69E784C5056DFCD6)

It happens with both Edge and Chrome browsers, even on very short messages with no links or inclusions.

Any ideas?

Hi @carrrrac99,

Welcome to the BT Community

When you mentioned using the web browsers, have you cleared cookies and cache from the browsers before trying to send via BT Webmail? Are you able to test using the BT Mail app to see if the same issue occurs?

thanks Alex. The following day the problem had disappeared, so I don't know what caused it. I had tried clearing the cache, rebooting etc. I tried a few other things suggested by my CoPilot AI, but they didn't work either!
