unable to access Btinternet emails on iphone

I am unable to access my emails on my iPhone. It says Btinternet server not responding.  I can access btinternet emails on my computer and iPad.

I have

- changed the password on the computer and phone and I still cannot access emails via my phone.

- turned the phone on and off.

- turned wifi on and off

Server is still not responding. What do I do next?

Are you presently a BT Broadband customer or are you paying for your email through a BT Premium email account or did you migrate to EE Broadband?

If none of the above your email account may have been downgraded to a BTMail Basic account which can not be used with an email client or email apps.

No I am no longer a BT customer apart from my Btinternet email address.  I would like to change to the Prime subscription service, but I am unable to log into BT. So how do I make the switch?
