Just recentley a call to our family landline defaults to 1572 no other mobiles are effected only ours on giffgaff it does seem that 1572 has not been activated on the account ?
Good morning @Benny20.
Welcome to the BT Community Forums 😊
It sounds like Call Protect has been activated for this number, but it's odd that it's just this number affected and you've not had issues with this in the past.
Have you had a check of the settings listed in our help article about this to see if you have any blocks active?
Peter
If you have the BT digital voice basic phones there is a button on that phone which will block a number which my Mum has confused for the end call button on a few occasions. Best way to unblock would be to dial 1572 and manage the block list there or the account holder can ring BT and remove it if needed (Thats what my mum had to do as couldn't manage by calling 1572) I tried to call as I am named on the account and this is one of the few things the account holder needs to do, which I understand.
Many thanks for the info , have gone into settings and updated , but may have to call BT support to get removed as its my 92 year old father !!
Many thanks Peter for the info, reset the account and may just have to speak to BT as its my 92 year old fathers phone with I dont have accesss to a present will update this thread when done Cheers
