Hi is there a adapter available so i can use existing phone with the new fibre optic hub , the connection are more square than the slim one on hub
Solved! Go to Solution.
The plug on your existing phone fits the green socket at the rear of the hub.
It doesn't fit wrong shape
Where does your phone plug into currently? The standard telephone socket is a 431A the same as the green socket at the rear of the hub. If for some reason your phone has a non-standard RJ11 plug, you can use an RJ11 to 431Adapter.
Thanks for the information, the box i have was a bt broadband one ,it had 2 sockets one for landline one broadband which i cant use any more as its obsolete now that ive got fibre optic .
I really didnt want to get a new phone as ive only had this one a couple of years .
Thanks again
Exactly, the socket for broadband would be Rj11 and for the phone 431A . The phone socket at the rear of the hub is a 431A the same as the phone socket on the 'box'.
I don't understand why your phone has an Rj11 plug.
You should have been offered 2 free Digital Voice cordless handsets when you moved to DV in any case.
